Meet Jaya

Jaya has been spearfishing the reefs of Lembongan and Nusa Penida for over 15 years. He knows every spot, every current, and every fish. He's genuinely passionate about sharing that with you.

Friendly, fluent in English, and endlessly patient with beginners, Jaya will make sure you're comfortable, safe, and having fun, whether you come home with a haul or with a new set of skills.

Jackpot is the name of Jaya's private boat. It's also his crew's battle cry whenever someone lands a big one.

What's included

Everything you need is provided. Just show up in your swimwear and we'll take care of the rest. Trips run for 3–4 hours and visit up to three local spots.

Why two guides for 3–4 people? For your safety, one guide can only buddy a maximum of two spearfishers at a time. Groups of three or four get a second guide included in the price, at no extra charge.

Getting there

Where to meet us

📍 Directions

Make your way to Papa Rocky restaurant at Rocky Harbour. Walk around the front of the building along the waterfront, and continue until you see the shacks on the other side of the wall. Jackpot will be moored there and Jaya will meet you.

🌅 Morning trips ~7am ☀️ Afternoon trips ~1pm
⚠️ Heads up: Meeting times are tide-dependent. Jaya will confirm your exact time the day before your booking. The boarding point can be a little tricky, so be ready to get your feet wet.

Who can come

  • You must be a confident swimmer and comfortable in open water
  • In good general health, with no conditions affecting diving or breath-hold
  • Beginners are very welcome. Jaya will guide you through the skills step by step
  • Can't equalise underwater yet? Don't worry, Jaya can teach you on the day
👦 Younger guests: Welcome, but must be strong, confident swimmers. Jaya will assess ability on the day and take younger guests to shallower spots only.

⚠️ Cancellation policy

Spearfishing is weather-dependent. Trips booked more than 3 days in advance may be subject to cancellation if conditions aren't safe. If a trip is cancelled, we'll offer a full reschedule and do our best to find a time that works for you.
